Visit to the Draper Temple and Million dollar Mansions

Here's the Temple... Very large and beautiful, yet simple, for all to enjoy.
The Draper Temple's open house is January 15th.

AND...here's the mansions just up the street. Very large and beautiful and very ridiculous!
NOTE: No one even lives in these castles, I mean homes. We know this because there was a lot of snow and their driveway and stairs weren't shoveled. Supposedly a woman had the home built at a whopping 11 million dollars (first picture) and then before it was finished, went bankrupt. In the picture you can only see part of the home. The other part of the home had a huge arch you can drive under. The second picture is another mansion/home for sale.

Holiday vacationing in Utah is going great!

I'm seriously offended that you're here and haven't called me or anything!

Kidding! I know trips get busy!

I bet those people do live in those houses in the summer, and go south for the winter!

If you have time while you are in town it would be fun to get together. Come over and have lunch and the kids can play or something. We are in Bluffdale.

Sorry to all friends who I didn't call while in town. We planned the trip only weeks before Christmas and had only a few days in Utah. I would've loved to visit all of you and it was hard not to call. Maybe in August when we have more time to visit we can hang out. Thanks for understanding!

I saw your post and thought, oh I wish we had gotten together too, but then realized we were gone probably the whole time you were here. And then I just read your last comment, and I completely understand!! You are just too loved, that is the problem! :) We will count on August okay for our yearly get together, so schedule us in! Miss you guys, hope your Christmas was great!

I've always wanted to go into homes like that (when people are actually living there) and see what they do with all that space!

Enjoy your time in UT

Aren't those mansions amazing? It seems almost like they're trying to compete with the beauty of the Temple. Too bad they don't stand a chance! :)
I'm also sorry to have missed you while you were here. I'd love to see you in August if it fits into your schedule when you're here.

Carrie - Hey, I had fun looking at your blog to see what you guys are up to! The Draper Temple is beautiful! I'm way impressed with your cranberry wreath. And I would LOVE to be able to go to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. We are doing really good too! I wanted to check back and see if you were able to get into our private family blog. I'm going to send an invite in a seperate e-mail. Let me know if you have any problems. Have a wonderful day! Anne Aragon
